CONVERGENCE OF GREEN AND SMART BUILDINGS BASED ON GREEN COMPUTING

Abstract—Green and intelligent buildings have been getting increasing attention in and around world due to their potential to reduce building energy costs, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, reduce water consumption, and add value to the buildings given the savings and the positive effects on occupant safety, comfort, and satisfaction. This research introduces the concept of improved intelligence to make buildings greener and smarter, provides an analysis of the current state of existing and emerging technologies in the building automation space, and outlines products and processes, as well as trends, which supported by the concept of Green Computing.
